Festival Awards UK Conference

The Festival Awards UK Conference is the only event which brings the contemporary music festival industry together for a day of debate, networking and information-sharing.

Incisive panel discussions will present the latest thinking and business insight as well as the chance to review the year’s achievements and challenges.

Following the success of last year’s expanded conference, the number of sessions will be increased again, offering delegates even more opportunities to increase their knowledge.

There will also be an exclusive presentation of the results of the Festival Census – the most comprehensive survey of British festival-goers’ habits ever undertaken. Engaging with over 150,000 people, combined with analysis of previous years’ findings, it will identify trends and provide vital business intelligence.

Taking place at the British Music Experience at The O2 in London, it also features chances to network with peers from all levels and sectors of the business through coffee breaks and a
drinks reception.

Held on the same day as the Festival Awards UK, the conference has seen explosive growth to 500 delegates last year, and achieved coverage in publications from The Guardian and BBC to Audience, IQ, Live UK, Music Week, Pollstar and TPi.

Among panellists last year were: John Giddings (Isle of Wight Festival), Rob Da Bank (Bestival/Camp Bestival), John Probyn (Live Nation), Colin Rodger (T in the Park), James Barton (Creamfields), Ben Challis (Glastonbury/A Greener Festival), Rob Challice (SSW and Coda Agency), Ben Turner (Association of Independent Festivals), James Cobb (Professional Services Association), Gary McLarnan (Sparklestreet) and Malcolm McKenzie (Supervision Management).
